Miyamoto Confirms 2D Mario Games, Capcom Producer Wants Okamiden 3DS and Sudoku Ball Trailer***Full stories:Miyamoto: Nintendo will make both 2D and 3D Mario games for the Nintendo 3DShttp://nintendo3dsblog.com/miyamoto-n...It's not the most shocking announcement, as Paper Mario has already been confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS, but Miyamoto has confirmed that Nintendo will continue to make both 2D and 3D Mario games. The reasoning he shares is that "when Super Mario became Mario 64, the range of players narrowed greatly" assumably because of the increased complexity that scares off a lot of casual gamers. I think we could see a game in the vein of New Super Mario Bros. coming to the 3DS before Christmas next year. Yeah, I'm calling it that early. At the very least though, it's nice to know that us fans of 2D Mario games won't be left out in the cold.Capcom producer wants Okamiden on the 3DShttp://nintendo3dsblog.com/capcom-pro...A few months ago it was hinted at that a sequel to Okamiden could be coming to the Nintendo 3DS. And then we heard nothing more. And while nothing is in development at the moment the producer of the game, Motohide Eshiro has said that "in my personal opinion, I think it would be interesting to bring [Okamiden] to the Nintendo 3DS" but concedes that, in the end, it's up to Capcom as a company to make the decision. Still, if you want that gorgeous art style in 3D then you've got another ray of hope to cling too.***Transcript:Hey guys David here from nintendo 3ds blog dot come with a quick recap of the 3DS news over the past few days. For all you fans of 2D Mario games, myself included, you do not need to worry about being unable to indulge in your tastes once the 3DS is out.Miyamoto has straight up said that Nintendo will continue to work on 2D games as they are definitely more casual friendly than something like Super Mario Galaxy and because they're simply the biggest sellers.I wouldn't be surprised if they released a game in the style of New Super Mario Bros. by the time Christmas rolls around next year, although nothing is announced at the moment.Speaking of games we want on the 3DS a producer at Capcom has shared that he would like to bring a sequel of Okamiden to the handheld. It was hinted at a few months ago that a sequel could be possible if the game sold well.Unfortunately it's not doing too greatly in Japan at the moment, but hopefully Capcom decide to push ahead with a game anyway because that art style in 3D would just be mind blowing. And in slightly less exciting news there is a trailer for Sudoku Ball, which has either been flying under the radar these past few months, or perhaps this counts as the announcement too.Basically, it's sudoko....on a ball. And, um. Yeah. Not much else to say as the trailer doesn't really show off anything too interesting, but if you're a fan of Japanese puzzles in spherical form then, well, you're a bit strange. But you might want to check it out.Anyways though, that is it for now. Check out Nintendo 3DS Blog dot com for more news. Click the "Like" button below. And I will talk to you later.
