Crazy Gamecube Controller - MUST SEE!!!

I was playing street 2 for the gamecube on my wii and I plugged this controller in and it shut the whole console off and it wouldnt turn back on unless I unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in...every other controller worked just fine and this is the only 1 that would shut the console off
